You’ve already heard us say it several times: in 2026, Sónar is going to be more Sónar than ever. But, how exactly? Let us explain… More Sónar than ever…
Sónar 2026 means more Sónar than ever because there’ll be non-stop music, all in one venue, with one single ticket. Were you Sónar by Day? You’ll still be able to dance on (artificial) grass, and you’ll still be able to enjoy the Barcelona sun. And each day, starting at 5pm, you’ll still be able to experience a Sónar sunset, only now the music doesn’t stop until dawn. Were you Sónar by Night? Now you’ll get more hours of music (starting at 5pm each day) and more stages (four on Thursday, and six on Friday and Saturday). Or were you both? As we said above, now you get more Sónar than ever, and most importantly, you no longer need to decide when to go from one venue to the other, because in 2026, everything’s in the same place. …with a reimagined festival… We’ve taken the opportunity to rethink and redesign Sónar, from top-to-bottom. Within the venue, you’ll find new digital art installations, so you can immerse yourself in our universe, as well as upgrades and additions to all of the stages. The new SonarVillage by Estrella Damm is located where SonarPub used to be, and includes the best of the day, with artificial grass under your feet and a lineup designed to soundtrack the late afternoon; and best of the night, with some of the biggest artists from the lineup under the Barcelona sky, plus those memorable sunrises. Plus it’s the only stage that’s open from the moment we open doors until the moment the music stops, on all three days. SonarPark is evolving into an open-air stage, with a bigger dancefloor and an extended lineup, running until 1:30am on Thursday, and until 6am on Friday and Saturday. The lineup includes the best of SonarPark and SonarCar in recent years. There’ll be no more gaps between shows at SonarHall. We’re now able to transform the stage from a concert venue into a club in a matter of minutes, and the lineup will alternate DJ sets and live performances on all three days. We’re also preparing a special club programme for both Friday and Saturday night - more details coming soon. The lineup for SonarCar will feature three ‘classic’ extended sessions, but with an important evolution. We’ll reveal exactly what we’ve planned for this stage in our second and final lineup announcement (coming soon).
All four of these four stages will be open on Thursday, and on Friday and Saturday they’re joined by two more: SonarClub and SonarLab. We’re again upgrading the sound and lighting in SonarClub, while SonarLab will feature a redesigned dancefloor, allowing for a more intense, immersive experience. … designed for you We want you to leave Sónar with nothing but good memories. That’s why we’ll be running a dedicated SonarBus shuttle service to and from the centre of Barcelona on all three days. Once inside the festival, we’re adding more rest areas so you can recharge your batteries between shows. And if you want to leave the venue and then return later, you’ll be allowed to do so once per day, as long as you leave before 11pm (read more information here) This is just the start, a small taste of everything that we’re preparing to make this the best Sónar yet. There’ll be more news coming soon, so stay tuned. See you at Sónar 2026!

Original, unique, and diverse, this first selection of artists speaks to our DNA as a festival. Ahead of our most ambitious and interactive edition to date, we’re evolving while staying true to our founding principles. Each year, we deliberately release the line-up in segments, allowing you to discover the programme in different stages of construction: 2026 will be no different. These 31 names account for just under a third of the final line-up - which will include over 100 acts and additional activities - yet already illustrate the enduring spirit of Sónar: a celebration of innovation and creativity in electronic music and beyond. A reminder: this year we’re bringing together - not fusing, not merging - Sónar by Day and Sónar by Night for three days of non-stop, uninterrupted music. Questions? We’ve got answers for you here.
One single ticket is now your passport to entire worlds of sound. The man who took grime global, Skepta, returns for a triumphant headline show, alongside a pair of potent new AV shows from the reigning queens of techno, Amelie Lens and Charlotte de Witte. And only at Sónar would you find New York r&b icon Kelis - yes, the same Kelis who wrote Milkshake and Millionaire - alongside pioneering industrial and electronic act Cabaret Voltaire. Elsewhere, one of UK dance music’s fastest rising new stars, Sammy Virji, makes his Sónar debut, as does Nia Archives: the jungle revivalist is bringing a full band live show to Barcelona. They’re joined by another multi-faceted UK artist, as Joy Orbison returns to Sónar for what will be another sublime set. They’re just some of the highlights from an already-stacked lineup of DJs that also includes future superstars KETTAMA, DJ Gigola and Funk Tribu, selector-par-excellence Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy, and ambassadors of mental techno - DJ MARIA. - and high-velocity club music - Clementaum b2b LAZA. Finally, Julianna Barwick & Mary Lattimore bring a necessary touch of neoclassical wonder to Sónar 2026, ahead of the release of their collaborative record of harp, synthesiser and vocals, Tragic Magic. And we’ve also tapped two Sónar favourites - Modeselektor and WhoMadeWho - to play brand-new live sets. Grab your SonarPass now and you’ll have access to all this and more. And stay tuned for the rest of the line-up and more information on Sónar 2026 - including full details of the Sónar+D programme located in the city centre - coming early next year. See you at Sónar 2026!
