It’s finally happening. Boiler Room is coming to Sónar for the very first time this June, with a takeover of SonarCar on both nights at Sónar by night
Starting out as a webcam taped to a wall, Boiler Room has helped bring the underground to the wider world, with over 8000 performances streamed, recorded and archived since 2010.
Both Sónar and Boiler Room share the same commitment to supporting local scenes and emerging artists, so there’s nowhere better for them than SonarCar, home to the sounds that are reshaping global club culture. We’re extremely excited to have collaborated with them on two separate lineups on Friday 13th and Saturday 14th June.
Live sets from Peruvian duo Dengue Dengue Dengue and emerging Galician-Brazilian star Lua de Santana headline on Friday, together with a Caribbean-influenced set from DJ SOSA RD, deep techno producer Andy Martin, Latin American club culture activist Tiyumii and Deprerreo collective members L’Miranda b2b Candadismo.
The star of Saturday is Nathy Peluso, who after her headline set will pass by SonarCar x Boiler Room for a Club Grasa flavoured back-to-back together with Zsongo Club’s Chris Collins and Afri K.
Six Sex brings her signature mix of reggaetón, dancehall and rave music, while rising Spanish producer nusar3000 returns to Sónar with a new live set. Also on the bill is global bass fanatic EYRA, baile funk minimalist Anderson do Paraíso and an up-and-coming star WOST, all making their Sónar debuts.
SonarCar x Boiler Room is one of the four stages at Sónar by Night, so any ticket for Sónar by Night (SonarPass, Sónar by Night Pass, or individual tickets for Friday night or Saturday night) will be able to join the party. If you haven’t got a ticket yet, grab yours now.
