SonarCar goes back to its roots in 2026, with a three-day takeover of the stage by STOOR Live. Starting as a pandemic-era studio project led by Dutch techno icon Speedy J, STOOR has now evolved into one of electronic music’s most impressive and unique live concepts. For each session, Speedy J is joined by four other artists for a fully improvised, extended, hardware-driven live set which lasts upwards of 6 hours. This year’s takeover of SonarCar is the most ambitious iteration of the project yet, and the first time STOOR has taken over an entire festival stage for three days.

This is both a return to, and an evolution of, the ‘classic’ SonarCar all-night long DJ sessions. This time round the performances are 100% live, presented in a 360º ‘in-the-round’ format with artists at the centre of the space, surrounded by the audience surrounding them. Speedy J will be joined by four different performers for each session, which are entirely unscripted and unrehearsed: each night will be an unrepeatable, unique experience. Amplifying the impact, each performance will be accompanied by live visuals projected onto a specially designed central structure, part of a full redesign of SonarCar this year. 

The full lineup of performing artists for each night will be announced very shortly, with confirmation of visual artists and more details on the stage setup to follow.
