SonarCar evolves again 2026, with a three-day takeover of the stage by STOOR Live.

Starting as a pandemic-era studio project led by Dutch techno veteran Speedy JSTOOR has now evolved into one of electronic music’s most impressive and unique live concepts. Entirely collaborative, hardware-driven and improvised, each session lasts upwards of 5 hours, with the performers in the centre of the room, surrounded by the audience and with visuals projected onto a central totem: total immersion is guaranteed.

On each day of Sónar, Speedy J will be joined by four different performers, plus specially selected visual artists. What happens next is entirely unscripted and unrehearsed: each night will be an unrepeatable, unique experience.

When it comes to improvisation, few are better than Colin Benders. A modular synth freak in all senses of the word, he delights in exploring the unknown and the unexpected, pushing his machines to the absolute limit.

Active since the early 2000s, Spanish producer Reeko explores the fringes of techno, industrial, and more recently, jungle and drum’n’bass. Menacing, atmospheric and minimal, his work emphasises precise, highly conceptual sound design.

One of the original members of the Giegling family, .VRIL makes music that’s cosmic in scale but deeply personal in intent. A superlative live performer and frequent collaborator with STOOR, he’s a master at bringing ethereal, otherworldly sounds onto the dancefloor.

Nadia Struiwigh balances her love of driving, dynamic techno with leftfield ideas pulled from the Warp catalogue and 90s downtempo movement. Now based in Berlin, the Rotterdam-born artist adds plenty of heart and soul to her adventurous live sets.

Important: please note this will be one continuous, uninterrupted and entirely collaborative live set, there will be no individual performances or sets by any of the listed artists
