An artist in her own right (check out the interactive video game she made documenting the real Harlem Shake), in 2021 she was appointed as head of NEW INC, the New Museum’s revolutionary creative incubator dedicated to emerging artforms that span art, design and technology. Amongst the project’s alumni are artists who’ve already graced the stage at Sónar+D like Sougwen Chung, unique projects like queer publishing house Genderfail, and fashion designers like Telfar Clemmens.

In a talk specially prepared for Sónar+D 2025, she’ll explore how her role at NEW INC - which she likens to architecture - coexists with tending to her own artistic practice, or what she calls ‘gardening’.
