Catalan vocalist and composer Maria Arnal returns to Sónar in 2025 to premiere her eagerly awaited new show. Announcing the latest chapter in a career that’s been defined by an unmatched, restless, creative energy, ‘Ama’ is still pop music at heart, but is informed by different forms of expression and her own curiosity for other disciplines. Case in point is her installation ‘Maria CHOIR’, which earned her the S+T+ARTS Prize Honorary Mention at the recent edition of Ars Electronica, as well as her work with local creative studio MELT on the ‘Flors de Veu’ installation (created with support from Sónar and 3CAT), which you’ll also be able to experience at Sónar this year. Heading back to the stage, expect a powerful show that demonstrates her incredible talents and her love of experimentation.
