Malaysian-Irish producer yunè pinku makes in-between music for in-between moments. Drawing on the syrupy sound of UK garage and post-dubstep’s detached sense of melancholia, she makes shy, wistful club tracks that put her breathy vocals front and centre. Just don’t call it hyperp*p. Following her 2022 debut EP Bluff, she expanded her sound with a six-track EP/mini-album Babylon IX, shaking off a little of the introversion that dominated her early tracks. Expect her to leave Sónar 2024 with a host of new fans following a euphoric live show.
