Valentina Magaletti brings a rare combination of inventiveness and versatility to percussion. Her myriad projects include playing a ceramic drum kit (her ‘Batterie Fragile’ project), crafting live dub and anxious post-hardcore with Holy Tongue and Moin, and manning the sticks for the likes of Kamasi Washington, Mica Levi and Nicolas Jaar. Her brand new show, intriguingly called ‘Lucha Libre’, has been developed in collaboration with visual artist Theresa Baumgartner, best known for her innovative work on Hildur Gudnadottir, Sam Slater, and Chris Watson's award-winning Chernobyl OST live show.
