If you don’t recognise Shannen SP’s name, you’ll probably recognise some of the things the London artist has worked on. Kode9 tapped her to co-curate Hyperdub’s Ø club night which ran from 2017 to 2020, and she’s also held down long-term residencies at legendary London stations NTS ( where she helped put together their incredible Amapiano Now and Cumbiaton Total compilations) and Rinse FM. Now running her own label and event series under the name E.B.N.X., expect a set that takes in the full spectrum of global underground club music, from Johannesburg to London and back, with slow, bass-heavy selections driven by the percussive groove of amapiano.
