An eclectic set of italo disco, EBM and synth-wave with a personal touch from the first-ever Chilean resident DJ on BBC Radio 1
Good luck trying to define Paula Tape. Whether DJing at underground parties or performing on festival stages, her trademark, eclectic mix of synth-wave, italo disco and EBM always sounds like more than just that. The first Chilean artist to hold down a residency on BBC Radio 1 - not even Ricardo Villalobos has managed that - she’s also recently stepped out as a promoter, with her global event series Hola Mundo. Expect her to debut in style at Sónar this year, with a set characterised by freedom, experimentation, and a refusal to be defined.
