A singular and enigmatic presence on the UK rap and grime scene for over a decade, CASISDEAD’s sporadic releases and features alongside rap luminaries such as Skepta or Giggs offered all too fleeting glimpses into the man behind the mask. For his first full length LP, Famous Last Words, CAS takes us further into the fantasy, with a sci-fi epic set in the DEADCORP universe with production by Johnny Jewel and Stranger Things’ Kyle Ritter (and featuring Pet Shop Boys’ Neil Tennant on one track). This ‘80s synth drenched backdrop, best exemplified on the unexpected TikTok hit Pat Earrings, serves as the perfect backdrop to his hard-hitting tales of sex, drugs and violence on the rain soaked streets and motorways of his native London.
