AI & Music powered by S+T+ARTS
Perfect for…
Music nerds, data scientists, developers and anyone who wants to see how we can make data sing and dance live on stage.
Why’s it interesting?
AudioStellar first appeared at Sónar+D in 2024, where they exhibited as part of Project Area (fun fact: we received their application via the Open Call!).
Initially created by data scientist and musician Leandro Garber as a tool to visualise sounds in the form of constellations, today AudioStellar is a multidisciplinary collective dedicated to new forms of creating and visualising music.
Territorios sonoros emergentes is the name given to a group show the collective have developed which uses motion tracking technology and AI to create a visual and sonic performance based on a troupe of dancers. Each performance is entirely unique, developed on the interplay between the performers - who are inspired by contemporary dance and Butoh theatre - AI, and sound.
The performance will be preceded by a talk explaining the technology and concepts behind the show.
You’ll like this if you like…
Contemporary dance, radical visual design, data science, groundbreaking performance, experimental sound, the concept of an AI as a creative partner.
