The PC Music graduate’s future-facing pop is unique, inventive and deeply personal

Swedish pop futurist Namasenda has always been fearless. She toured with a punk band aged just 12, moved to L.A. alone at the age of 19, and started working with PC Music after drunkenly DMing founder A.G. Cook one night.

But her next step might just be her most fearless yet. For her follow up to her critically- acclaimed 2021 debut Unlimited Ammo, she’s jumped from PC Music to Swedish independent label YEAR0001. Surrounded by punk bandsgothic singer-songwriters, and industrial divas, maybe this is where she belonged all along, with her personal, almost conversational take on pop lyricism. Limbo takes off exactly where Unlimited Ammo left off.Lead single ‘Cola’ is built around a sugary, autotuned vocal hook and rushing, fluorescent synths: part can’t get-it-out-of-your-head chart hit, part low-key club anthem.

Sónar 2026 will be one of the first places you’ll be able to hear songs from Limbo live: expect a spell-binding performance from this distinctive artist.
