Paraguayan and Brazilian by birth, and now firmly established in the Berlin underground, Amanda Mussi has quietly built a reputation as one of the most versatile techno DJs around. A regular at Berghain and famed Berlin queer party Pornceptual, you’ll also find her keeping people dancing until the early hours at Amsterdam’s famed queer party IsBurning.

While definitely best known for the kind of pounding, blurry after-hours sets that made her name when she was a resident and frequent closer at legendary São Paulo party Mamba Negra, she she can - and does - play just about anything: sleazy house cuts, jacking acid, sharp electro… even the odd dive into disco.That unifying approach has continued in her work behind-the-scenes. Early in her career she was a promoter, and she’s now running an agency, Alt. As well as elevating Latin American and diaspora artists, it also provides a welcome alternative to European and US-based agencies. 

Unconcerned with trends and hype, her only interest is getting the crowd onto the dancefloor - and keeping them there. The kind of under-the-radar booking we love to have, make sure you don’t miss her debut at Sónar this June.
