There’s nothing like a rewind… Today Sónar 2023 partner Resident Advisor have published a set of recordings from their stage at Sónar by Night, SonarLab.

Canadian-born producer Aquarian has never been one to respect genre boundaries. At Sónar by Night his frenetic DJ set pulled from jungle and hardcore, hip-hop and bass music, baile funk and breaks, and almost every other genre of high-intensity club music you can name. 

Drum’n’bass will never die, as long as DJ Marky has anything to say about it. The Brazilian legend - active since the 90s - was joined by MC GQ for an unforgettable sunrise set of rollers, jump up and amen breaks.

SHERELLE x Kode9 brought together two generations of the UK hardcore continuum for one of the most hotly anticipated sets at the festival. Updating the sound of classic rave and jungle with forward-thinking bass music and hyperactive juke and footwork, they didn’t disappoint.

Berlin’s Nene H played one for the ravers on Saturday night. 90 minutes of fast-paced, irresistibly upbeat, and trance-inducing music that captures the spirit of rave in 2023. 

There aren’t many techno producers like Wata Igarashi. The Japanese producer delivered an astonishing live set of spiralling, layered and psychedelic electronic music that went far beyond the usual four-to-the-floor.
