It was a love of classic ‘90s hip-hop and r&b that first got Yasmin flicking through dusty shelves of funk, soul and disco. In search of the source material that was being sampled by the likes of RZA, DJ Premier, Timbaland and Pete Rock, she dove head first into record collector culture.

She’s more than just a collector though, she’s a conduit. Through her monthly radio shows on Rinse FM and Radio Alhara she shares her finds: hard-to-find disco cuts, psychedelia and funk from around the globe, plus jazz, soul and r&b oddities. Her club sets go deeper and harder, but still have that selector’s touch, adding classic house, boogie, and modern soul to the mix. A talented vocalist - she’s collaborated with Gorgon City, Krystal Klear and Major Lazer - in 2025 she released her first solo production, ‘Real High’, for Brooklyn institution Razor’n’Tape.

Part of the Glitterbox family - she co-hosts the Glitterbox Radio Show together with Melvo Baptiste - since 2023, you can expect a deep, expansive session from one of dance music’s most authentic voices at Sónar 2026.
