Barcelona is quickly becoming a key player in the future of music, technology and the creative industries. The Barcelona Music Lab Foundation has been actively working to bring together relevant Barcelona-basedl actors and initiatives, as well as providing key research and data, mapping the development of the sector in a fast moving tech and business environment digital society.
At Sónar+D they’ll host an extended session which features several different components: the presentation of Music Radar 2026, a tool that maps music innovation initiatives and talent across Barcelona; a panel discussion bringing together leading voices from the industry, and a presentation of different pioneering and innovative companies from Barcelona.
Designed for founders, artists, investors, technologists, institutions and anyone tracking where music innovation is heading next, this one is a must for anyone working in or interested in music technology.
More details will be published in the next weeks, but the names for the panel discussion are already confirmed. David Poblador, Senior Technologist & Advisor at Barcelona Music Lab (as well as founder of music tech consultancy All Tuner Labs) is joined by Pilar Callau, VP of Audiovisuals at music innovation and music rights company BMAT, and Pedro Martinez, CEO of music advisory firm Resonance for an open, wide-ranging conversation on where the Barcelona Music Tech sector stands in 2026.
