Ático Corp. and R.I.P. Bestia grew up in the underground, far from the spotlights of the mainstage. It was in the early 1990s when they first submerged themselves in the sound that brought a whole generation of Andalusian ravers to the dancefloor: breakbeat.
With an already considerable collection of records and a few vinyl releases already under their belt, the two producers from Écija (Seville) decided to take the next step in 2020, creating UFC (Un Futuro Creíble - which translates to A Believable Future), a vinyl-centred label for their mix of breakbeat, electro, acid and trance, all packaged with their trademark ‘cyberdelic’ aesthetic.
Under this label, they’ve released plenty more of their own productions both digitally and on vinyl. The list includes tracks inspired by videogames, adolescent obsessions, and even remixes by artists who they’ve long admired, like Rabbit in the Moon.
In 1994, just a month after the first edition of Sónar, two young promoters, inspired by the affinity of Andalucia for breakbeat, booked The Prodigy for their first-ever Spanish show. This year, The Prodigy make their long-awaited debut at Sónar, so naturally we wanted the warm-up act to be these two low-key Andalusian producers, in tribute to the seeds that were first planted three decades ago.
Welcome back to 90s rave culture at Sónar 2026.
