An all-Argentina soundclash between differing visions of club music

The most interesting collaborative sets take both parties a little out of their comfort zone. That’s what should happen when TAYHANA and MissLupe, two of Argentina’s most distinctive artists, meet at Sónar 2026.

TAYHANA shouldn’t need any introduction: she blew our minds when she brought her Club Latinx party to Sónar 2024. Neither futuristic nor nostalgic, she taps into an endless continuum of Latin dance music that spans tempos and timelines, from cumbia, merengue and guaracha to NYC tribal, hard house and latincore. Collaborating with the likes of Rosalía, Nathy Peluso and Kelela, as well as radical choreographer Kianí del Valle (their show Cortex was co-produced by Sónar and CTM, and premiered at Sónar 2024), she’s consistently challenged ideas of what’s ‘underground’ and ‘mainstream’.

It’s a combination of intensity and intimacy that make MissLupe one of the most unique voices in South American electronic music. A prolific producer as well as a DJ, until recently she was best known in Europe for her collaborations with Argentine legends Djs Pareja and Spanish producer Yung PradoReset, her debut album, has marked her as one of the continent’s best current producers. 18 tracks of hazy grooves and her own melancholy vocals, it’s a house record that carries the mark of a true songwriter, full of subtle anthems and melodies that hang around in your head for days.

Just where they’ll go together is anyone’s guess, which is why you won’t want to miss this one.
