One of Barcelona’s original club kids channels club music’s feisty and feminine side in her riotous sets

It was at Rory Phillips’ and Erol Alkan’s legendary Trash nights in London that Loli Zazou had her first club culture epiphany. The explosive mix of no-rules mixing, outrageous fashion and hard partying - all on a Monday night - has stayed with the Argentine artist ever since.

Her approach to DJing - a polyglot blend of latin rhythms, fierce ballroom cuts and proudly queer house music - owes a lot to that fluorescent, riotous era of club culture, when punk spirit, queer fashion, and feminine energy first collided on the dancefloor. One of Barcelona’s original club kids - she also spent time in Paris - she’s kept one foot in fashion and the other in music through her Maison Choice project, while becoming an ambassador for a new era of inclusive, celebratory and liberated dancefloors: like the original house nightclubs.

A true professional in every sense of the word, expect a typically sensational and saucy session from her at Sónar 2026.
