Leading a new generation of Spanish artists, the Madrid-based DJ’s sets are anarchic, sensual and cathartic affairs.

Hard, fast, and chaotic, Paola’s music lives up to her artist name. Originally from north-western Spain, a move to Madrid ignited her rebellious and transgressive streak and with it, Fukcnormal. Now a resident at roving underground event En1gma, she’s part of a group of artists re-defining the city’s nightlife.

Unconcerned with tags, genres, or conventions, her sets are explosive and cathartic but also versed in queer sensuality. Inspired partially by her experiences as a trans person, she leans into club music’s physical, collective aspects, with sessions that set pulses racing and bodies in motion. Guaracha, hardcore, hard house, deconstructed pop edits… it’s all part of her anarchic and emotional conception of dance music.

As she makes her first steps on the international circuit, there’s never been a better time to catch one of Spain’s most exciting new artists
