Plenty of DJs have a background as dancers, but we’re willing to bet that Arthi is the only one who’s also been a TV and radio journalist. But this year she’s making her debut at Sónar - and not Sónar+D - so it seems like her experience as a dancer for Beyoncé and Charli XCX might be more relevant than her work as an economics and technology correspondent for The Times and Sky News.
What’s really relevant is just how hard her sets go. A vibrant, cross-cultural, transcontinental mix of sounds and styles that absolutely screams London, you can expect to hear everything from UK garage and Caribbean Soca (a staple at Notting Hill Carnival) through to ampiano, baile funk, and kuduro. Matching her anything-goes mixing style - it’s one wild blend after another - she brings a dancer’s physical, high-energy vibe to the booth.
We hope you’re ready to Arthi Hard at Sónar 2026, because we know she will be.
