Afri K has been a dancer all her life, which explains her approach to mixing: just get the crowd moving. More than just an invitation to dance, her sessions demand movement, all smooth grooves and irresistible, sinuous rhythms. 

Sónar 2025 attendees might well recognise her  - she DJed together with Nathy Peluso as part of the Argentinian superstar’s Club Grasa takeover - but this year we’re bringing her back for a solo set. Expect plenty of amapiano and afrohouse, as well as 3 step (the latest house mutation to emerge from South African dancefloors, with an unmistakable bounce courtesy of the three kick drum beats per bar), and a dose of 2000s r&b and hip hop thrown in for good measure. 

Wild, hypnotic and elegant, this is some of the most accessible and seductive dance music around, and Afri K is a perfect guide.
