“Straight to the point.” That’s how dirtilarita presents both herself and SonarMix 069. Born in Argentina but adopted by Barcelona - she’s a resident DJ at famed local party Fuego - she’s made a name for herself on the local club scene with her ability to seamlessly move from Latin sounds like guaracha and tribal to classic UK bass and breakbeat.

Regularly topping 140 bpm without a second thought, she doesn’t hide her intentions: “This mix is made for full-body movement with zero restraint.” From the opening bars of Kaval’s ‘Funk Tambor’ until the intense closing salvo of 9MAGIC1FOREVER’s ‘LIKE U JUKE REMIX’, this one takes in tracks by old friends of Sónar like Dj Fucci and Rosa Pistola, plus bass and dubstep from the likes of X-Planetary Flip, and plenty of tracks by underground artists from across Europe and Latin America.

Over the course of an hour, you get everything “from distorted guaracha and tribal drums to breakbeat, juke and hard club sounds.” She’ll bring that same “raw, physical, and unapologetically loud energy” to her set at Sónar by Night, where she’ll remind us again of her motto: “Straight to the point.”
