One of 2023’s breakout artists, DJ Gigola comes to Sónar 2024 riding on a high. Both solo and as part of the multifaceted Live From Earth collective, the Berlin native has been reconfiguring dancefloors since 2016. Using rhythm and groove as a guide, her hybrid sets take in everything from Surgeon to Madonna. She seamlessly blends high-intensity 90s cuts - trance, hardcore, techno and acid - with new school rave, club tracks, and dashes of pop music. Her experiments aren’t confined to the club either: inspired by her yoga and meditation practice, she’s released an album of guided meditations featuring ASMR vocals, field recordings and goa-style tabla drums. At Sónar by Day, she’ll be strictly focused on the dancefloor: expect a genre-fluid workout from this rising star.
