Since 1990, not-for-profit entity Fundación Cotec has been supporting and promoting innovation as a driver for economic and social development in Spain. By acting as an independent observer, as well as providing analysis and advisory services, it’s helped link innovation with technological change and economic growth.

At Sónar+D, Juan J. Gómez, director of Communications and Content for the Fundación will appear to unveil a special initiative: the launching of an Open Call for a new artwork to be displayed in a shopfront in the centre of Madrid. Cotec will fund the development and production of the work, which must be designed using data and techniques related to innovation.
