An ‘antidisciplinary’ live show
Defining Japanese artist Daito Manabe is a challenge. Visual artist seems to ignore the science behind his creations; software engineer or programmer fails to capture the mischievous sense of joy and humour in his work; installation artist sells short his work with music and video. A regular fixture at Sónar and Sónar+D, this multi-talented digital artist - who’s collaborated with the likes of Björk, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Arca, Squarepusher - returns to present a new live show that straddle music, performance and visual experience. An ‘antidisciplinary’ show that speaks to the heart of the Sónar project on its 30th anniversary.
