In just a few short years, Chico Blanco and 8kitoo have made Mareo into one of the most vital alternative voices in Spanish club music. Formed in Granada, their small collective has become a respected label, promoter and curator, with its own inimitable sound.  Their anything goes approach to dance music means that on any given Saturday they might play classic house, trance, breakbeat, deconstructed club music, trap, hip-hop, pop… So this should be one of the most spontaneous back-to-backs at Sónar by Night this year.
