Straddling the line between dance and lounge listening
Whether Koreless' music best suited for home listening or for working up a sweat on the dancefloor is an open debate. With a sound that owes as much like contemporary classical, ambient music or vaporwave as it does garage, trance or anything in between, Welshman Lewis Roberts has achieved something that few do: his music is recognisable within just a couple of beats. Much of the credit goes to his debut album with Agor, a record that he obsessed over to the point of extreme perfection. Many of its tracks will be featured in his mysterious live show, barely visible on stage as he fiddles with object and conjures magic from his synthesisers. With Koreless, it’s never quite certain if you're in the presence of a nostalgic or a man ahead of his time.
