Scottish bass renegade Kode9 comes to Sónar for a special solo performance that combines his hi-tech club music and pioneering sound design with video game visuals. Based on his latest album Escapology, the shows offers a first glimpse into the Hyperdub label head’s ambitious multidisciplinary Astro-Darien project, which explores a possible future where Scotland secedes from the UK and heads to the stars. On stage, he’ll simultaneously perform music from the record and manipulate visual material created by frequent collaborator Lawrence Lek, Optigram, Plusminus Studio, Bianca Hic and himself.
