Tender yet brutal ambient
Klara Lewis joins with Nik Colk Void for a performance at the margins of their individual solo projects. While Lewis has explored hushed ambient and neo-classical, punctuated with distortion; Void (both solo and with Factory Floor) reinvented her guitar as a rhythmic instrument, generating skittish, agitated patterns through unconventional playing techniques and the use of pedals. They’ll find common ground with the help of synthesisers, guitars, eurorack modules, samplers, and vocals, accompanied by live digital manipulations of 16mm analogue film by renowned visual artist Pedro Maia. An alternatively tender yet brutal ambient performance.
