Between them, DJ Holographic and DJ Minx represent Detroit’s female past, present and future. A staple in Detroit since the 1990s and founder of the Women on Wax collective, DJ Minx’s name belongs in the history books along with The Belleville Three and Underground Resistance for her contributions to music. ‘The First Lady of Wax’ will go back-to-back with DJ Holographic, aka Ariel Corley, a rising star who’s been tipped by Carl Craig and “Mad” Mike Banks as the Motor City’s future. Together they’ll channel the soulful spirit of Motown with plenty of house and real Detroit techno into the early hours at Sónar by Night.
