Aquarian makes visceral music. His cinematic and prismatic approach to dance music embraces rave culture, folding in electro, pop, drone and industrial-flecked IDM. Born in Canada, it was in Berlin that Aquarian found the perfect place to develop his musical curiosity. Since then, his productions - such as his debut album ‘The Snake That Eats Itself’ - have become references for lovers of forward-thinking electronic music. In 2022, in addition to releasing a pair of EPs - ‘Mutations I’ and ‘Mutations II’ - he began to make more frequent appearances as a DJ, earning a reputation for genre-collapsing mixes. His DJ set will be one of the sharpest you’ll hear at Sónar 2023.
