Simona Sibilla’s collage of styles has fuelled her ascendancy. Born and raised in Argentina, she cultivated her Latin influences in her hometown of Mendoza before settling in Barcelona. Her multifaceted sound dances between good and evil, applying melodic mutations that represent everyday life, intimacy, authenticity and power. "BALI", her first single, put her in the spotlight as an emerging artist in 2019, when she shared stages with artists like Girl Ultra or Louta. Producing her tracks alongside Valuki & Black Jagg, since 2020, she’s been performing with a full live band. Already a fully-formed artist, Simona arrives at Sónar 2022 more chameleon-like than ever. Her new live show is loaded with visuals, guests and surprises, finding her ready to explore the boundaries of everything from Latin pop and bossa nova to the softer side of trap and the sweet centre of reggaeton. Simona's innate simplicity is on full display, the product of a beautiful personal process of catharsis.
