SonarExtra is an itinerary through the heart of Barcelona offered by Sónar during the week of the festival.
One of the stops will be at the
Hotel ME Barcelona, for Italian multimedia artist Quayola’s installation 'Transient', presented by ME by Meliá.
Quayola - ‘Transient’ Installation, presented by ME by Meliá is a starting point, the first phase of a project conceived in 2020 by
Davide Quayola, an Italian artist at the forefront of audiovisual experimentation. In this installation, images and music generated over the last two years in his studio will be projected as infinite loops on three screens simultaneously. This is the first time that ‘Transient’, presented by ME by Meliá, will be shown in multi-channel format. Classical minimalism and impressionism will converge with experimental electronica and techno music, with the audience able to move freely through the three-dimensional space, exploring a 100% immersive environment without limits.
In order to visit the installation, you'll need to reserve a time slot - for free -
here.
In addition, Sónar attendees will also be able to experience
Quayola/Seta - ‘Transient’ Performance, presented by ME by Meliá, an immersive audiovisual performance specially prepared for the SonarComplex stage, one of the two stages that will present performances from the
Sónar+D programme in 2022.
