Even so, DJ Marcelle / Another Nice Mess stands out thanks to her mixes that take djing to another level. In her hands, an encyclopedic vinyl collection, ranging from African polyrythms to dub and electro becomes the raw material for a lightly psychedelic banquet of locked grooves, dub effects and accidental breakbeats, expertly overlaid with samples from the zaniest of sources. Idiosyncratic, utterly unique and highly danceable.
