Sónar is dedicated to keeping the festival a safe and enjoyable environment. To this end, Sónar collaborates for the second year with No Callem, a protocol for action against sexual aggression in nightlife venues promoted by Barcelona City Council. All Sónar employees have been duly informed about the content of the initiative and the different cases covered by the protocol. In addition, Sónar joins this year the new security protocol promoted by Generalitat de Catalunya against sexual violence in leisure environments, focused on training and awareness of security professionals, managers and staff.
If you see or experience any case of aggression, attempted aggression or inappropriate behaviour, both physical and verbal, please head to the “purple stands” both at Sónar by Day and Sónar by Night, where specially trained staff will be on hand to help.
Safety is a priority at Sónar, and as such, for the 23rd year, Energy Control will be on site (the stand is located at Sónar by Night) with their services for the prevention and reduction of risks in drug consumption.
Sónar asks festival goers to behave in a respectful and responsible manner towards other attendees and staff, ensuring a safe and mindful experience for all.
