Second State / BE
The latest big name in techno to hail from Belgium is Amelie Lens. In recent months the DJ from Antwerp has played extensively in the US, with stops in Washington, Miami, New York and Montreal, gaining a number of high profile fans along the way: None other than Richie Hawtin has expressed his admiration for this rising star.
Equally skilled as a DJ and a producer, Lens has to date released on prestigious labels Pan-Pot and Second State as well as running her own label Lenske, which she liked off with a release by Sam Deliaert aka Farrago in mid-2018. All this, in addition to promoting the Exhale club night at Haesselt's Labyerynth featuring the likes of Ben Klock and Kobosil. There's nobody better suited to closing SonarClub on the last night of Sónar 2019 than Lens.
