Restless doesn't quite cut it when it comes to describing Darren Cunningham's approach to music: constantly searching, testing and pushing the limits of his own process, and of the possibilities of synths and software. His most recent project is Young Paint, a new pseudonym running in parallel to Actress that explores Artificial Intelligence as a musical tool, based as it is around a sophisticated program that learns from and re-interprets Cunninghams own sounds. Simultaneously to Young Paint, the producer has given new life to his influential label Werk; launching Werk_Ltd in collaboration with The Vinyl Factory.
