Sónar joins in the expression of solidarity towards Valtònyc and Pablo Hasel, both recently sentenced by the Spanish justice system for their song lyrics. A decision that clearly constitutes an attack on freedom of expression, one of the fundamental pillars of artistic expression, and of course a fundamental right that Sónar firmly believes must be defended. That is why Josep Miquel Moreno Beltran aka Valtònyc, will perform this year on the XS stage of Sónar by Day reviewing several of the themes of his repertoire and rapping his critical and revindicative lyrics with all the freedom in the world, as it should be.
