Sónar Lisboa finalises its lineup; prepares to kick off the Sónar 30th anniversary celebration

26/01/2023

The final lineup of Sónar Lisboa 2023 is announced today, with 32 names including Peggy Gou, Amelie Lens, Major League DJz, Patrick Mason, Anfisa Letyago, Reinier Zonneveld, Chet Faker, and Enrico Sangiuliano added to those already announced in December.

Taking place in the heart of the Portuguese capital from 31st March to 2nd April, the lineups per day and individual tickets are now available for the second edition of the festival, which this year is concentrated across four stages - two indoor and two outdoor - all within Parque Eduardo VII, one of the city's biggest green spaces.

The final lineup showcases the multiplicity and diversity of electronic music in 2023. Highlights at Sónar by Day include South Korea’s Peggy Gou, one of the most recognised figures on the global clubbing scene; Belgian superstar techno DJ and producer Amelie Lens; Major League DJz, who’ll bring the sound of amapiano, a jazzy variant of house from their native South Africa, to Lisboa; and a feel-good DJ set of soul, jazz and electronica from Chet Faker. They join already announced names like Folamour’s A/V show and Mochakk.

Sónar by Night is headlined by the deep, groove-driven techno of Anfisa Letyago; Enrico Sangiuliano, who fuses techno with elements of trance; and Patrick Mason, a Berlin artist who’s building bridges between the past and present of dance music. There are also punishing live techno sets from Reinier Zonneveld and 999999999. Plus already announced artists VTSS, Astra Club (DJ Tennis b2b Carlita), WhoMadeWho live and KiNK.

As electronic and dance music continues to diversify, Sónar Lisboa features artists - both international and Portuguese - who are finding new ways to move dancefloors. DJ MELL G, Sofia Kourtesis DJ set, King Kami, Lady Shaka, Cormac b2b fka.m4a are some of the names representing these new currents, together with already announced back-to-backs from SHERELLE x Kode9 and Skream b2b Mala, and Portuguese artists DJ Nigga Fox live and Shaka Lion.

As always at Sónar, live shows are a key part of the equation. James Holden brings a new live show - based on his first album in seven years - to Sónar by Night, while Sónar by Day gets a dose of modular wizardry from Colin Benders. That’s in addition to an already announced Max Cooper live audiovisual show; and performances by Cinthie and local heroes Sensible Soccers

SonarPasses and VIP SonarPasses - which offer access to all of the festival - are now available. Individual tickets have also gone on sale today, with a limited quantity available at exclusive first-release price.
