Âme Live b2b Trikk, Danilo Plessow / MCDE and more will round off ‘Un SónarVillage a S’horabaixa’

8/08/2022

The last date of ‘Un SónarVillage a S'horabaixa' is approaching, bringing to a close a summer of sunsets and electronic music in Mallorca.

Thanks to Sónar and Mallorca Live, names like The Blaze, Floating Points and Overmono have already passed through the Antiguo Aquapark de Calviá. They’ve been joined by other international artists like CC:DISCO!, Eliza Rose, Logic1000, Yu Su and Mor Elian.

Âme Live b2b Trikk and Danilo Plessow / MCDE, headliners of the final date

This season of ‘Un SónarVillage a S’horabaixa’ closes on 3rd September - from 7pm to 3am, as always. The cycle will bring the summer to a close with disco and retro-futuristic house courtesy of Germany’s Danilo Plessow / MCDE, also known as Motor City Drum Ensemble.

There will also be an unprecedented hybrid session of melodic techno: Germany’s Âme Live (Frank Wiedemann) - one of the co-founders of legendary label Innervisions - performs live as part of a hybrid live-DJ back-to back with the Portuguese producer and DJ Trikk.

Jyoty and Jamz Supernova affirm Sónar and Mallorca Live's commitment to emerging European talents. This pair of UK-based DJs and radio presenters (residents on Rinse FM and BBC Radio, respectively) build bridges between sounds from the UK, Caribbean, South Asia and beyond: from afrobeats to futuristic R&B and UK garage.

As always, the line-up for 3rd September includes a representative of the island’s local scene. On this occasion, Mallorca’s Difid is in charge of the warm-up set, with a blend of deep house and minimal techno.

A taste of local gastronomy and produce

Attendees to ‘Un SónarVillage a S’horabaixa’ will also be able to enjoy carefully selected local gastronomy, made with 100% local produce, and aimed at supporting local producers.

There will be a variety of food on offer, including both vegan and vegetarian options, offered in collaboration with Esment. For over 50 years they’ve been working to improve the quality of life and provide equal opportunities for people with learning difficulties and their families. All proceeds from the sale of food will go directly to the charity.

Individual tickets for the final date of ‘Un SónarVillage a S’horabaixa’ on 3 September are on sale here.
