Golden years

The Oblique duo’s taste for synth pop together with Carlos Bayona is plainly evident in the threesome’s new studio piece entitled “A Song For...” The work, that has begun to gain traction via Soundcloud, sees them fantasize in their lyrics, about mythical films that became blockbusters in an idealized version of the 80’s, creating alternative endings, imaginary dialogues and parallel arguments. Carlos Bayona has been DJ’ing for more than twenty years and is currently a resident at Razzmatazz in Barcelona. As a producer he has remixed artists including Delafé, La Bien Querida, OBK and Love Of Lesbian; also creating his own group, Lorena C, with whom he released an album in 2007. Meanwhile, Oblique (Juan and Sonja) have been producing music and editing albums and singles since the beginning of the 2000s. All three revere the 80s, considering it the most bountiful decade in the convergence between pop and electronica.
