Keys N Krates will turn up the heat and decibel levels on the last day of Sónar by Day, presenting their hard-hitting live show on Saturday at SonarVillage. The Canadian combo put out a 6-track EP “Midnite Mass” at the beginning of last year, and in January of this year they released their new single, “Right Here”, another trap banger to add to their catalogue. Over the past five years they have released more than a dozen singles and EPs, however they will debut their first album this autumn, which will form part of their performance at Sónar.

Keys N Krates are turntablist Jr Flo, keyboardist David Matisse and drummer Adam Tune. They started out specialising in hip hop remixes, eventually evolving into a more open minded, complex and potent project comprised of powerful beats that enter the realm of electronic dance music sounds and rhythms. Catchy melodies and imaginative samples, loops, fat bass lines, filters and digital tricks... everything has its place in their sound and they are always ready to surprise, delivering the best possible party at each of their concerts.
