Artist, record collector, dreamer, DJ, producer and gentleman of the night; above all, Craig Richards is a storyteller. His eighteen year period as artist in residence at Fabric in London - and his legendary early morning sets at the club -  have not only defined the musical output of the world's most famous club but in doing so has shaped British underground music.

Richard's passions have been devoted equally to the worlds of art and music throughout his career, combining DJing and promoting with his studies at St Martins and the Royal College of Art during London's warehouse party heyday.  [PG1]

During the mid nineties he developed his own quirky and unpredictable sound; A trippy mixture of deep house, dubby techno, bongos, interplanetary disco, funk and abstract beats. In 1996, started the infamous monster Tyrant, and in 1998 Craig became the first resident DJ at Fabric.

Skip forward eighteen years, and the success of Craig's weekly residency is integral to the success and worldwide recognition of the club. As artist in residence and Musical Director he is responsible for the modern approach taken to the programming of Saturday night. In recent times Fabric experienced an abrupt closure. Since its reopening. Craig is still at the helm, still relevant, still challenging and still there.

Richards has  released music by Schatrax, Calibre, Trevino and others, including himself on his label THENOTHINGSPECIAL, which  also features his drawings and paintings on the covers.
