A founder member of the label and collective Agorazein, this young producer and vocalist turned heads with his eponymous debut, following it up to mainstream and critical acclaim with his second LP ‘LOVE’S’ – firmly staking his claim to the ground between hip-hop, alternative pop and electronica. 2016 however was the year C.Tangana made his biggest splash, thanks to the success of a perfect track: ‘Antes de Morirme’ featuring the new breakout star of flamenco, Rosalia. Tangana is far from done though, with irresitable follow up singles such as ‘Persiguiendonos’ showing off his unique talent for subverting expectations and prejudice.

21st century pop then, with a clear Spanish identity, and steeped in the refreshing sensitivity of this Madrileño – one of the best contemporary songwriters around. C.Tangana is doing it on his own terms, and better than anybody, to the joy of anyone who believes in a new hope for urban music made in Spain.
