Sónar to present a host of exciting performances at TodaysArt Festival

Sónar is pleased to announce its collaboration in the upcoming edition of Today's Art Festival, celebrated this coming 23rd and 24th September, in The Hague. As part of the We Are Europe project, Sónar will contribute to the festival's diverse and international line up, presenting a number of exciting performances across the two day event.

On Friday 23rd of September, acclaimed contemporary choreographer and multi- disciplinary artist Hiroaki Umeda will perform Intentional Particle, a piece that projects the artist into an unstable digital landscape, manipulated in real time to stunning effect.

Canadian artist Myriam Bleau will perform twice at the festival, starting with a new piece on Friday, 'autopsy.glass', in which amplified wine glasses are violently manipulated to create sculptures of sound. On Saturday, Myriam will return with a performance of 'Soft Revolvers', a controlled simulacrum of DJ'ing.

Also performing on Saturday will be Spanish pioneers of cerebral, dancefloor oriented electronica bRUNA & Wooky, with live visuals contributed by visual artist Alba G. Corral.

Sónar+D will also be represented at the festival, co-hosting three conferences on Saturday 24th September: Art, Astrospace and MoonMars, Decentralize! and Novel Tools for Sonic Manifestations.
