On the 16th, 17th and 18th of September 2021, Sónar at IDEAL will host the
world premiere of a brand new audiovisual performance from producer, dj and promoter
John Talabot under his Koraal alias with pioneering visual artists
Desilence.
Presented in association with
We Are Europe and designed and created specifically for the venue, the show, titled
‘Magma’, is inspired by the same extraterrestrial landscapes that informed last year’s ‘La Casa del Volcan’ LP, promising to be a one of a kind multi sensorial experience.
‘Koraal - Magma’ will be the world premiere of the live show for ‘La Casa del Volcan’, a conceptual album inspired by the extraterrestrial landscapes of Lanzarote. Marking the debut of John Talabot’s Koraal pseudonym, the record was released on influential Dutch label Nous’klaer Audio in 2020.
Co-created by Sónar and the Barcelona’s digital arts center IDEAL,
Sónar at IDEAL is a concert series dedicated to the production and performance of collaborative audiovisual shows between musicians and visual artists. The program for the coming months will be announced soon.
Sónar at IDEAL:
“John Talabot & Desilence present Koraal - Magma. An audiovisual ritual through subterranean frequencies” The show will be
performed live twice each night during the run, starting at
8 and
10pm.
