The countdown to Sónar Barcelona 2022 begins today, with the final lineup announcement for the 29th edition of the festival. The additions of Jennifer Cardini b2b Perel, Anfisa Letyago, Kabza De Small x DJ Maphorisa (Scorpion Kings), Samantha Hudson, Paranoid London, Partiboi69, Pongo & many more bring the final total of artists who’ll perform between the 16th and 18th June in Barcelona to over 100.

Two pairs of DJs headline the new announcements: a first-time back-to-back set from Jennifer Cardini and Perel; and two of the godfathers of amapiano, the South African house phenomenon that’s taken the global underground by storm, Kabza De Small x DJ Maphorisa as Scorpion Kings

Elsewhere, Anfisa Letyago brings her stern techno to Sónar by Night, alongside experimental, percussive selections from Ehua. British analogue techno duo Paranoid London return with an acidic new live AV show, while UNIIQU3, Partiboi69, Lady Shaka and Pongo bring their high-intensity variants of club music to Sónar by Day. Yung Singh and SUCHI will represent British-Asian collective Daytimers and the South Asian diaspora with a back-to-back set.

Niño de Elche + Ylia + Banda “La Valenciana” sees the Spanish artist return to Sónar to present 'Concert de músika festera' together with producer/musician Ylia and a 40-piece traditional Valencian music band, reinterpreting the music of traditional popular festivals. Catalan duo Maria Arnal i Marcel Bagés will perform Hiperutopia, a re-imagining of their last album Clamor featuring a choir of voices and Artificial Intelligence technology.

They’re also joined by experimental percussionist Eli Keszler, who’ll perform a show based on his album ‘Icons’ on the SonarComplex stage as part of Sónar+D.
The price of a SonarPass will increase from 185€ to 200€ today (9th March) from 23:59.
