The countdown to
Sónar Barcelona 2022 begins today, with the final lineup announcement for the
29th edition of the festival. The additions of
Jennifer Cardini b2b Perel, Anfisa Letyago, Kabza De Small x DJ Maphorisa (Scorpion Kings), Samantha Hudson, Paranoid London, Partiboi69, Pongo & many more bring the
final total of artists who’ll perform between the 16th and 18th June in Barcelona to
over 100.
Two pairs of DJs headline the new announcements: a first-time back-to-back set from
Jennifer Cardini and Perel; and two of the godfathers of amapiano, the South African house phenomenon that’s taken the global underground by storm,
Kabza De Small x DJ Maphorisa as Scorpion Kings.

Anfisa Letyago brings her stern techno to Sónar by Night, alongside experimental, percussive selections from
Ehua. British analogue techno duo
Paranoid London return with an acidic new live AV show, while
UNIIQU3,
Partiboi69,
Lady Shaka and
Pongo bring their high-intensity variants of club music to Sónar by Day.
Yung Singh and SUCHI will represent British-Asian collective Daytimers and the South Asian diaspora with a back-to-back set.
Niño de Elche + Ylia + Banda “La Valenciana” sees the Spanish artist return to Sónar to present
'Concert de músika festera' together with producer/musician Ylia and a 40-piece traditional Valencian music band, reinterpreting the music of traditional popular festivals. Catalan duo
Maria Arnal i Marcel Bagés will perform
Hiperutopia, a re-imagining of their last album
Clamor featuring a choir of voices and Artificial Intelligence technology.
They’re also joined by experimental percussionist
Eli Keszler, who’ll perform a show based on his album ‘Icons’ on the SonarComplex stage as part of Sónar+D.
The price of a SonarPass will increase
from 185€ to 200€ today (9th March) from 23:59.
