The music of the brain
Masaki Batoh, a member of the Japanese experimental rock band Ghost, developed a machine he christened the Brain Pulse Music Machine, which is capable of capturing brain waves and processing them to create audible sounds. Batoh's interface directly connects the performer's emotions and ideas with the resulting sound, in a musical experiment that combines art and science, and which was first used on an album released on Drag City, featuring the Brain Pulse Music Machine as the main instrument.
